INSPIRED MODERN HOMES
BELOW TOP & BOTTOM: To create clean lines, Mr. Applebaum does not use moldings, but prefers reveals between surfaces that
define and visually separate materials. The result is a shadow line that enhances the details of the architecture. All stairs in the
home are designed with monumental rise and two-foot-deep cantilevered treads and almost seem to float and have an organic
look to them. Flooding the spaces in natural light, the materials show off their rich color and aesthetic appeal.

"Norm Applebaum's work
is tied to the Modernists of
Southern California—Harris,
Shindler, Wright—yet it is
fresh, new, and exciting."
