The Estate Reserve Syrah has oaky aromas and heavy, sweet-
seeming oak flavors that take the forefront in this rich, full-bodied
and extremely spicy wine. It shows chocolate, vanilla, nutmeg,
cinnamon, ripe boysenberry, cardamom, and cedar notes
coupled with a smooth, long finish.
winemaker's insight
Dante Robere owns and manages a six-and-a-half acre Syrah
vineyard. For all other varietals produced, grapes from various
local growers are sourced. The team manages the Syrah vineyard
to extract Syrah's varietal characteristics, and manages yields to
meet production requirements while achieving a high-quality
crop. They implement fermentation techniques to help bring out
the essence of each of the varietals. Red wines ferment in small
open containers while whites are fermented in stainless steel
tanks.
