CABERNET FRANC
gourmet pairings
This wine goes well with
buttery, white fish, such as
baked filet of seabass drizzled
with sweet and spicy Peking
sauce.
tasting notes
Cuda Ridge Wines' Cabernet Franc is soft and elegant,
reminiscent of a Loire Valley Cabernet Franc. This blend, typically
with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, is enticingly fragrant, and
has evolving flavors of raspberry, ripe cherries, white pepper, and
sandlewood, with a hint of olives and vanilla. The tannins are soft
which makes this a great wine to pair with food or enjoy by itself
with family and friends.
winemaker's insight
This wine is sourced from the White Cat Vineyard located in the
eastern side of Livermore. It is located in the rolling foothills that
are sunny from morning until dusk and has moderate winds in the
afternoon. The long sunny days bring the fruit to ripeness and
the cooling effect of the afternoon winds maintains the acidity.
It produces a lighter-style Cabernet Franc, which Larry prefers.
The grapes are harvested early in the morning and immediately
processed.
