Blanc and the red, a bold Tempranillo blended with Graciano,
Grenache and Carignane. The Fifteen10 series highlight both red
and white Rhône blends and the Implico, a complex Bordeaux
style wine, is brilliantly blended with fruit from both east side
and west side vineyards. The Maneater, a blend of Zinfandel and
Petite Sirah, flexes its muscle with a layer of elegance.
Growing 25 different grape varieties is not only an advantage
when it comes to offering unique blends, but it also gives Derby
the opportunity to offer special and unique single varietal wines
to a select clientele in limited quantities. These "Black Label"
wines are made from a single grape varietal grown on a single
Derby-owned vineyard, selected from the choicest barrel lots
and produced and bottled in extremely limited quantities.
A special reserve tasting of library wines is offered every
Saturday afternoon in the exclusive Almond Room in the
building's tower that offers a 360-degree view of Paso Robles.
The Derbys passion for hand-crafted and exceptional wines is
present in each bottle that reflects the diverse spectrum of Paso
Robles, from Burgundian and Spanish to Rhône and Bordeaux
style wines.
