Birdseye
RICHMOND, VT
W
orking within a historically renovated 1890s gabled barn in
Vermont's Huntington Valley, a group of architects, artisans and
builders collectively design and craft award-winning custom residential work.
Birdseye Design was founded in 1996 and is led by its founding principal
architect, Brian J. Mac, AIA. It is the architectural arm of Birdseye Building
Company, an employee-owned company featuring general contractors,
builders, a cabinet shop, an excavation company and a custom metal shop.
As design is the keystone to the firm's success, the unique nature of
each home is rooted in a regionalism approach, consistently inspired
by context. Birdseye blends and bends the familiar in new directions in
response to site and program, and it strives to be inventive in all aspects
of design and construction. Through material exploration, construction
methods, renewable energy integration and efficient design practices,
each home becomes a unique expression of form and function. Clear
client communication and strong contractor relationships are of utmost
importance in maintaining the high standards of each finished product.
Birdseye works throughout the Northeast and beyond, choosing to work
where the art of architecture can be explored with clients who appreciate the
process of design, as well as the experience of living in a beautifully inspired
space.
