2012 ALEKSANDER RESERVE
gourmet pairings
Serve this wine with grilled
lamb chops and other grilled
meats, such as filet mignon,
ribeye, and even pork chops.
tasting notes
A clean medium-dark hue and a charming earthy fragrance with
hints of violet distinguish the 2012 Aleksander Reserve. Notes of
dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and black coffee, but no sweetness
except for notes of blackberry, and silky tannins on the finish.
winemaker's insight
The 2012 Aleksander Reserve is the first vintage to embody the
estate-grown Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Each varietal
was aged separately for a year. Following this aging period, the
varietals were blended and aged until the wine reached the
optimal structure and balance.
