same building, plus two that previously existed, and one
popped up across the street, plus a distillery and a brewery
opened nearby. Collectively they're known as The Block East
End, and make for an ideal weekend of sampling and tasting.
Phil is always ready to show visitors around and welcomes
everyone to the comfortable tasting room. Although Phil is the
founder and winemaker—and also serves as the vice president
for the Association of African American Winemakers—he has
a supportive crew that helps make it all happen. Phil Long Jr.
is the assistant winemaker, Tim Parsons is general manager,
Shiena Avila is the tasting room manager, and Eileen Sauer
is the wine educator. The team exemplifies the same love of
wine as the founders.
Debra Long passed away in 2019 but will forever remain the
face of Longevity and the passion behind the wines.
