Signature Wines and Wineries of Coastal California
Known primarily for its Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah, the
Vina Robles all-estate lineup includes small lots of a wide range
of varieties and creative blends. While adhering to traditional
winemaking methods, veteran winemaker Kevin Willenborg
also implements modern technologies to make his estate wines
with minimal intervention. Built in 2018, the state-of-the-art
Vina Robles winery houses many innovative tools that support
Willenborg's vision. A few examples include an optical sorter,
barrel rooms with separate climate controls, and an integrated
pump-over on-demand system.
Willenborg came to Vina Robles in 2012. Versatile and detail-
oriented, he brings more than 30 years of winemaking experience,
covering many of the industry's key regions including Bordeaux,
Napa, Sonoma, British Columbia's Okanagan Valley, as well as
California's Central Coast. His team approach and passion for
"winegrowing" allows him to craft elegant wines that are truly
expressive of the Vina Robles estate vineyards.
