SANFORD PINOT NOIR,
SANTA RITA HILLS
gourmet pairings
The bright red fruit flavors of
our Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir
pair beautifully with herb-
crusted leg of lamb. The
fruit, earth, and savory notes
balance the richness of the
lamb perfectly.
tasting notes
The Santa Rita Hills, estate grown, Pinot Noir is bright, red ruby
in color and is bursting with black raspberry and orange peel,
along with savory notes of lavender and white pepper. The palate
delivers dense dusty, berry flavors with balanced acid and tannin
structure, which carries on with a long and lovely finish.
winemaker's insight
The Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir is a blend of fruit from two estate
vineyards: the historic and iconic Sanford and Benedict Vineyard
and La Rinconada Vineyard. A range of Pinot clones and soil
types provide the winemakers with all the components to make
beautiful wines from vintage to vintage. Classic Burgundian cellar
techniques were employed in making this wine, including open-
top fermentation and aging in French oak barrels.
