The palate has a velvety entry displaying finesse and elegance that a great Pinot can provide. This wine is an experience, offering notes of plum, cherry, tobacco, strawberry, earth, and minerality. It is balanced, and has a smooth finish with sweet tannins and sweet fruit. winemaker's insight This wine, in true Blair fashion, was made without a refractometer and depended solely on Jeffrey's palate. He selected, in the vineyard, just enough fruit for five barrels worth of truly exceptional Pinot Noir. These were the grapes destined to become The Reserve release.
