Brochelle Vineyards
PASO ROBLES
The founders of Brochelle Vineyards are grateful for the opportunity to express
their artistic voices by creating wines that end up playing a part in some of
life's most simple pleasures. Wine is used as a catalyst to commemorate
joyous occasions, honor relationships and life's milestones, and creating
something that has been used to share in these most intimate of times
has truly been one of the greatest privileges of their vocation. Owner and
operators, and husband-and-wife team, Brock and Michelle Waterman, don't
take this responsibility lightly and have used it as a motivating force behind
their small-but-mighty winery since establishing in 1998. When Brock and
Michelle's relationship began in the late 1990s, they shared one memorable
bottle of Paso Robles Zinfandel and it changed the course of their lives
forever. They both fell in love with the rolling hills on the Westside of Paso
Robles and each other, and that is where their story began.
Located on 20 acres on a steep Westside hilltop in Paso Robles, Brochelle
Vineyards uses a pure, no-fuss approach to winemaking. The grapes are
always encouraged to speak for themselves and treated with the greatest
of care—this way they'll quietly but surely reveal where they came from. The
team uses Old World farming and winemaking techniques, and the boutique
vineyard is purposely geared to produce small yields of intense, flavorful
fruit. With minimal intervention during the winemaking process, the grapes
truly reveal themselves in the glass. Estate-grown varieties include Zinfandel,
Grenache, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Mourvèdre, and Alicante Bouschet.
