Signature Wines and Wineries of Coastal California
Since the winery offers just one varietal, visitors experience a
vertical tasting of four vintages. A bonus tasting includes Vin
Gris de Pinot Noir, a rosé fragrant with strawberry aromas and
a unique white-rosé hybrid produced from 100 percent estate
Pinot Noir grapes.
Windward is proud of its many awards including Double Gold for
both its 2013 and 2014 vintages from the San Francisco Chronicle
Wine Competition. The signature profile of a Windward Pinot
Noir is one of balance—with aromas of violets and ripe bing
cherry layered with traces of earthy notes.
At Windward, it's a family affair. On most days you will find
Marc and Maggie or their son Justin in the tasting room. The
scenic terrace is an ideal place for a glass of wine enjoyed with
a selection of charcuterie and cheeses available.
