BELOW: Because no one can compete with the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, the Thornapple Modern Prairie was intended as a nod
to his genius. We designed the home for the homeowners who are avid outdoorspeople, which is why they wanted property along
the scenic Thornapple River. In keeping with true Prairie Style, the house was thoughtfully constructed of natural Fond du Lac stone.
FACING PAGE: The eye-catching entrance uses a blend of glass and pivot door, hand-built in Colorado and assembled on site. We
used custom-installed cone bearings to make the massive door easy to open. The five-by-seven-foot walnut piece weighs more
than 600 pounds.
