McInturff Architects is a small firm with tremendous experience.
The Maryland-based, six-person studio creates modern designs
for residential, commercial, and small-scale institutional buildings
across the region. It also offers full interior design services,
remodeling, space planning, and sustainable design—all carefully
tailored to the specific needs of the people who will use the space.
The firm was started by Mark McInturff, FAIA, in 1986, and he has
expanded his team over the years to include top talent. Principal
Chris Boyd focuses on an ever-expanding regional emphasis on
the Eastern Shore and Atlantic Coast, while principal Peter Noonan
focuses on the commercial projects, while also keeping his hand in
the residential work.
With houses and buildings all over the region and throughout
16 states, the firm has received more than 360 design awards,
including three AIA Institute Honor Awards, two for Interior
Architecture and one for Urban Design. The team's work has also
appeared in numerous publications, including Home and Design,
Annapolis Home Magazine, The Washington Post, and Dwell.
