Sussan started her namesake firm after branching out from a role in a
corporate architecture setting. She wanted something more, something
better, and began working with a close-knit team in Roslyn, New York.
As times change, so do the needs of a family and the function of the
home. The team at Sussan Lari Architect recognizes that and designs
homes that make sense for today's lifestyle and fit a family's daily
activities. Because of her ultra-creative approach, Sussan seeks out
homeowners with open minds—the fewer rules they have, the better.
She has reinvented the concept of the traditional layout, so it's best to
toss aside standard notions of grand foyers and oversized spaces. Her
creativity is most beneficial to a family that doesn't demand the norm.
Sussan starts every project at zero—no formulas, no preconceptions.

her hand in evert step of the process. Where some architects shy away
