THE MODERN RESIDENCE
BELOW & FACING PAGE: When we renovated a distinctive home set on seven acres of sought-after property, we wanted to
keep its personality yet make it modern enough for today's lifestyle. The house blended nicely into the land and surrounding
trees, almost disappearing, and it was important to preserve that. Built in the 1960s, the house was ready for updating. We
raised the ceilings, added granite flooring, kept plenty of natural light flowing in, and made the home geothermal.
