FACING PAGE: From the rear of the home, the connecting points of the home
are clear. They link the home from outside in, and from front to back. They
encourage the effortless flow of the movement within the layout. We used slate
roof with accent copper for the roofs.
ABOVE LEFT: The floating staircase serves as the spine of the house, connecting
all three levels. It is surrounded by a stone wall that extends the full height of the
house and three-story window wall.
ABOVE RIGHT: A connecting passage sits above the mudroom and has views
of the garden below.
RIGHT: I wanted the tea room to have plenty of natural light, so the large
windows allow the often-used space to fill up with sunshine.
