KUBE architecture
WASHINGTON DC
KUBE architecture is a modern architecture studio that
challenges the norms of daily life, attempting to reinterpret
the ways of working and living in the built environment.
Formed in 2005 by Janet Bloomberg and Richard Loosle-
Ortega, the studio prioritizes a balance between richness,
simplicity, and clean lines, with an emphasis on color, textures,
and clearly expressed materials. Both Janet and Richard have
traveled extensively in Europe, South America, and South Asia,
and their minimal, yet warm, design style has been greatly
influenced by these travels.
Not only does KUBE bring fresh modernism to Washington
D.C., they ask their clients to look at their environment in
a new way. So, it's no surprise that the use of sustainable
materials and building systems is integral to all of the studio's
projects, as is educating their clients about the importance of
building "green." KUBE celebrates both the critical need for
sustainability in general as well as the design opportunities
that new green materials offer.
As a boutique firm, KUBE is able to extend to its clients
close, personal attention. The partners are involved in every
project, regardless of sizeāfrom initial design conception to
client occupancy and beyond. KUBE maintains that design
excellence should be accessible to all clients no matter the
budget constraints.
