BELOW: We borrow some concepts from my home country, Iran, and in this case it is the use of water and reflection in the design. Iranian culture often uses water
as a key element in architecture; and here, the reflection adds a sense of light and another layer of depth to the home.
FACING PAGE TOP & CENTER: We used stonemasonry on the home's exterior, which we transposed into the interior living space. This same strong stone theme
appears in the unpaved driveway as well, where we laid turf stone as opposed to a more conventional paved driveway. The turf stones have plenty of space between
them and allow grass to grow, adding to the organic quality of the outdoor entrance space.
FACING PAGE BOTTOM: The pool looks out on to the scenic Narragansett Bay and offers the homeowners a space to either relax and reflect, or to entertain.
