THE MODERN RESIDENCE
BELOW TOP: The rear of the house is all about "looking out"—and that includes this exterior covered porch that reflects the simple
and open layout of the interior. The decision to site the house at an angle allowed for a larger backyard and pool.
BELOW BOTTOM: We incorporated the white frame feature as a nod to classic mid-century modern Florida architecture. While the
front of the house is all about vertical elements that direct the view, the rear is horizontal to frame it. The house was placed at an angle
in relation to the seawall in order to shield from some neighbors and provide longer views down the canal.

part of a larger context,
informed by local culture
and materials—with the
client always at the center
of it all."
