FACING PAGE & BELOW: MASSING is a three-story modern residence located on the canals of Coral Ridge, Fort Lauderdale,
totals more than 7,500 square feet of indoor living space with five bedrooms, five bathrooms, two guest baths, a separate three-
story cabana, plus an additional 1,200 square feet of covered outdoor living space. We started the design process by utilizing the
simple principles of general size, shape, and form and created vertical massing walls as the framework for the glass box reading
room. Cladding features include elements of coreten iron and steel porcelain panels, and natural ledgestone quartzite to offset
the stark white stucco. A private elevator provides access to all three levels, including the home theater with private bar and
cigar deck. The bar is treated with rosewood veneers with book matching Michelangelo marble slabs and floating-glass tops.
Veneered wood beams and LED strip lights add the final touches to the third-floor experience.
