FACING PAGE & BELOW: A past client was ready to make some accessibility updates to their 100-plus-year-old farmhouse that had
recently been modernized. The desire was a simple age-in-place concept that would better integrate with their healthy lifestyle,
connection with the outdoors, and their impressive modern art and furniture collection. Melissa and the director of residential
design, Jason Ekstrom, quickly realized the disparity between the outdated envelope needing costly renovations and the dream
home that would meet the clients' desires. Rather than end the design process, the client elected to have our team create a new
home that truly represented their goals. The result is a clean, modern space with a warm, comfortable atmosphere.
