For more than 30 years, Goldberg Design Group has been a leader in
residential architecture in Indiana. Located in Carmel, the firm was
started by Stephen B. Goldberg who has had a passion for architecture
since his elementary school days. His family moved frequently so he got
quite a few chances to tour homes and see a variety of regional styles
and floorplans. He began sketching plans at age seven based on these
experiences; and later starting collecting blueprints to examine how
those professionals communicated their designs. It only made sense
then, that Stephen began designing and building impressive custom
homes even before graduating with his degree in architecture from St.
Louis' Washington University.
In recent years, Indiana has seen an influx of residents, drawn by the
state's great schools, low cost of living, and traditional values. With that
has come a wide range of interest in home styles and Goldberg Design
Group has happily accommodated nearly all of them. The team has
designed everything from lakefront cottages to ultra-modern estates,
and worked across the country, including Florida, Tennessee, and Illinois.
They've also designed homes in far-off locations such as Tanzania and
Turks and Caicos. The firm has received recognition, including an AIA
local chapter award for Best Residential Design and inclusion on the
Top 100 Luxury Residential Architecture Firms in Northern America by
Bond Custom, an international forum representing leaders of global
architecture and design.
