BELOW & FACING PAGE TOP: The house is stepped to respond to the steeply sloping lot. Full-height glazing and outdoor rooms at each level take full advantage
of the 180-degree view of the lake, and provide indoor/outdoor connection.

FACING PAGE CENTER & BOTTOM: The client wanted a home equipped for professional-level cooking and entertaining large groups that was both warm and
inviting—and impressive. Familiar materials were used in innovative ways: in the kitchen, art glass backsplash panels slide to reveal a full-width appliance garage,
backlit resin panels in the ceiling provide an all-over glow, and a masonry modern Rumford fireplace serves as a pizza oven and indoor roasting spit. Wood panels
at the dining and living room ceilings help to define the spaces and provide texture, warmth, and visual interest to the ceiling plane. Opaque resin panels with fabric
interlay in the custom doors provide texture and light while maintaining privacy.
