Sinclair Building Architecture Design is an Aspen-based firm started
by Robert G. Sinclair, who brings more than 25 years of experience
to the practice. The full- service, multifaceted firm specializes in turn-
key design and build for homeowners in Colorado and around the
world.
With an appreciation for nature, art, history, and technology,
Robert gains a great deal of inspiration through travel. It helps him
maintain a flow of creative ideas so that every project is unique.
The firm designs in a broad aesthetic range but consistently creates
sophisticated homes that are specific to place and time, resulting in
a timelessness appeal. The Sinclair team has a saying that every step
must be "right, not rushed," which is why every home works so well.
Robert has added a construction division onto the firm to gain more
control over the outcome of homes. This allows him to work side by
side with the homeowner through the entire process and develop
a personal relationship with the clients. While embracing modern
elements, Robert also holds on to some traditional practices that
cannot be replaced—he still draws home designs by hand.
Robert attended the University of Southern California in Los Angeles
for his Bachelor of Architecture and went on to earn a Master's
Degree from Syracuse University. He also studied urban design in
Florence, Italy. He has received recognition for his work over the
years, including state, national, and international design awards.
