Architectural Workshop
DENVER, CO
Architectural Workshop (AW) was conceived in 1999 by founder
Mark Bowers. The Denver-based firm was created from the desire
to provide a greater level of creativity, innovation, and excellence
in architecture. AW approaches design with a team mentality, and
the firm's experience shows that the best project solutions come
from a qualified group of design professionals who have a history
of problem solving and creative solutions.
Architectural Workshop is committed to taking ordinary projects
and making them extraordinary. The design approach of every
project incorporates four design criteria: creativity, innovation,
sustainability, and uniqueness—all are equally important. Creativity
is the ability to see beyond the obvious, to imagine a design
that allows a project to go beyond its constraints and achieve
the highest level of architecture possible. Innovation takes the
available resources and using experience, knowledge, and talent
to build a composition where the total is greater than the sum of
its parts. Sustainable design seeks out the most practical balance
between the natural and the built environment through a careful
combination of the site amenities, construction methods and
building materials. Uniqueness: every project, like every living
object, should be created to be unique to its location, its function,
and to the purpose for which it is intended.
