10 s t r u c t u r e + d e s i g n TOP: The master bathroom of a 3,000-square-foot remodel project in North Scottsdale reflects the updated look that the homeowner wanted to create throughout the entire home. A color scheme with neutral gray undertones emphasized the sleek modernity of the renovated space. CENTER: Fully gutted and remodeled, the kitchen transformed into the homeowner's dream with new appliances and cabinets— and more storage space. The island was moved closer to the family room, allowing for more workspace and a greater sense of connectivity to the rest of the home. The granite in the island is lit from underneath, creating a romantic and soft ambiance. BOTTOM: The view from the family room to the living room, which were both completely renovated, encapsulates the inviting sense of warmth in the space that benefited from the introduction of soft yellow tones and ambient lighting. The floating fireplace feature was designed not only to be architecturally significant but also to create more space for people to move from room to room. Also adding integrity and depth to the space is an accent wall of decorative niches. Facing Page: The inherent grace of the home's gray color palette is fully celebrated in the master bedroom, which was also fully renovated. Monochromatic in spirit but far from uninteresting, the space is a study in plush materials and eclectic textures. The headboard wall features wood panels, upholstered with the back side of leather and installed in an overlapping pattern for added visual interest. The wallpaper further elevates the textural effect while providing an eye-catching backdrop for pendant lights. Debra designed the wall-hung nightstands and the bed was custom-upholstered to merge seamlessly into the sophisticated room.
