130 Creative brides are always a joy to work with, since they bring those extra personal touches to the overall plan. That being said, it's imperative to include everyone who needs or wants to be involved in the planning process, since that heads off miscommunications and hurt feelings later on down the road. Six dramatic, traditional events, including a Moroccan-themed sangeet, culminated in a grand-finale reception that required us to completely change out the room four separate times to give it four totally different looks, with an additional tent in the back. Originally the bride and groom were to be announced at the reception with fireworks, but the only way we could get a permit and still keep the display visible was to extend the cocktails area into the parking lot with the addition of a plush carpet to help dress it up. The carpet never arrived, but we quickly regrouped and reused elements from the ceremony, such as the red carpet and the large elephants, to create a grand entrance. The moment their feet touched the stage, the fireworks exploded and shimmered above them and everyone gasped. Sometimes your plan B turns out better than your plan A. MCALLEN CULTURAL EVENT Dramatic
