Everyone wants their wedding to be memorable, and sometimes that comes down to picking a theme
that people associate with greatness. For the sangeet, the bride decided to party in an Egyptian
paradise. Not only did that give Darryl & Co. plenty of design inspiration, it set the mood for a grand
party. Belly dancers who were also skilled at handling snakes and swords astonished guests as part
of the entertainment. And it's just not Egypt without its most famous and glamorous ruler: Cleopatra
made her grand entrance reclining on a pallet carried by a group of muscled, gold-painted men. With
the opening party setting such an impressive tone, the reception had to be just as beautiful. Natural
elements and unusual props, such as birdcages, gave the room a look unlike any other. Darryl truly
outdid himself with the design, one that will surely be referenced by future brides for years to come.
