POMAR JUNCTION CROSSING GSM
gourmet pairings
Rack of lamb is an excellent
pairing with the Pomar
Junction Crossing GSM. The
rich earthiness and hints of
cigar tobacco complement
the flavor of the lamb.
tasting notes
This classic Rhone blend displays a floral nose with hints of
black currant, black cherry, blueberry, and a hint of leather and
tobacco. A savory mouth feel is supported by flavors of red and
black fruits and sweet spices, with a distinctive lingering finish of
supple tannins.
winemaker's insight
The grapes which are SIP certified, are gown in a sustainable
manner in the El Pomar district of Paso Robles. Linne Calado
soils on southwest-facing slopes, combined with Templeton
Gap cooling breezes, help produce ultra-premium wine grapes.
Extended cold soak pre-fermentation helps extract out the color
and flavors of this elegant wine.
