ABOVE TOP: It was important to develop an industrial chic vibe in this condo at the historic Book Cadillac Hotel in downtown Detroit, honoring history with the client's
family antiques while also honoring 21st-century craftsmanship. A vintage dining table and chairs, for example, is paired with Danish modern pieces that reference the
heirlooms. Detroit-based Smithshop created a bespoke steel-and-brass room divider, which is filled with chicken-wire glass reclaimed f rom a warehouse in New York City.

ABOVE BOTTOM: Joining two penthouse condo units together in Rosslyn, Virginia, presented a unique opportunity to create an elegant, light-filled home that incorporated
the building's ductwork and structural masonry columns into the design. A custom hair-on-hide rug f rom Kyle Bunting grounds a classic Eames chaise and welcoming
Minotti sofa and ottoman. The masonry column was intentionally exposed to highlight the rough architectural material and to create juxtaposition with the elegance of
the furnishings.
