ABOVE TOP: In this modern dining room, we paired vintage white swivel wingback chairs at a traditional dining table and added the Robert Kuo serving buffet to balance
the silhouettes.
BOTTOM LEFT: For a classic, formal dining room, I chose camel hair indoor-outdoor velvet for the captain's chairs and a luxe leatherette for the Christian Liagre side chairs.
These tricky textiles achieve the look and feel of luxury while providing savvy stain resistance along the way—function without sacrificing elegance.
BOTTOM RIGHT: In this breakfast room, we installed a series of hand-painted, one-of-a-kind paper panels on the ceiling to allow their vibrant colors and whimsical design
to lift eyes—and spirits—daily. The primarily pink silk area rug is the perfect foil to the practical pleather upholstered chairs. The Tri Boi pendant, through Ralph Pucci, lends
a f resh pop to finish off this fun everyday eating area.
FACING PAGE: Hello Handsome—meet Ms. Magnificent. We married these two separate sets of one-of-a-kind dining chairs to create a match for the ages. The pure silk
gold rug, designer ceiling inlay, and 1960s glass-disc Murano chandelier add touches of glamour.
