ABOVE: This loft in River Oaks has a fabulous view of downtown Houston, but those lovely, huge windows could also make it
glaringly hot. Motorized Lutron shades were the solution—this was the start of the homeowner's love of home automation—
and they were the start of the living room's complete remodel. The owner already had a great deal of wonderful artwork,
so we replaced the furniture to be more neutral and enlarged and reclad the fireplace with a wedge-shaped slate tile to
ground the room.
