ABOVE & BOTTOM LEFT: This vibrant kitchen once sported too much of a country feel, so it was ref reshed while leaving traditional accents like the ceiling beams. A high-
gloss backsplash plays off the new lighting, which includes a Gregorious Pineo modern chandelier and lighted glass-f ront display cabinets. To the left of the doorway is the
kitchen's crown jewel: a TopBrewer system that serves practically any drink imaginable thanks to its own ref rigeration and plumbing line. The beautiful Ella countertop by
Cambria is the finishing touch to this exquisite kitchen. The adjoining pantry features a grasscloth ceiling and Vaughn lighting fixture, drawers instead of open shelving,
and LED-lighted glass cabinets on top; all behind a custom welded set of glass and iron doors. This room was honored with the top National Award Design by IDS.
BOTTOM RIGHT: Eager to recreate the Old World kitchens she knew and loved f rom visiting Italy, the client requested her own version of a Tuscan kitchen. The existing
cabinets were kept, but painted in soft green with an antique finish, and black matte countertops were added. Bringing in a walnut-topped island provides even
more seating. Statement elements such as the brickwork around the doorways, new ceiling beams, terra cotta floor tiles, and a custom range hood help the kitchen
feel authentic.
