210 INSPIRED INTERIORS
ABOVE: The pale aqua walls feature insets for glass art and nautical pieces that
the homeowners had collected in their native Canada. We chose this color
because the golf course on which the home sits also has a lagoon located right
outside the great room.
LEFT: The husband wanted to seat eight in an octagonally shaped dining
room, so I worked with a company out of Texas to create the hammered metal
base and sides of the large square table. The top is a textured and waxed wood,
which nicely complements the transitional Thomas Pheasant chandelier—one
of my favorite chandeliers ever. The chairs are a replica of an iconic loop-back
design, with Schumacher fabric seats that were inspired by the artwork we found
for the wall.
