ABOVE TOP: This long space, with three entries and three focal points, was difficult to design. Cohesion was achieved by floating a custom mohair sectional with a vertically
channeled back to enhance the focal points of the lake, limestone-carved fireplace, and entertainment center. Beautifully wrapped in architecture, the original wood was
restored and given new luster in this lakeside mansion. The walls, f reshly wrapped in wool plaid and a ceiling adorned in a raw silk nub wallpaper, are both f rom Phillip
Jeff ries. The hand-woven wool and silk rug pulls you through the space, while anchoring the sectional.
ABOVE BOTTOM: This once-heavy space was swathed in deer antlers and rarely used; now it's a coveted spot to unwind. This space was originally denoted as a screened-in
dining space with a barbecue, and was completely transformed. After some structural changes, the walls were clad in a handsome natural stone. This cozy space is located
off the pool so the sectional was covered in a durable outdoor Schumacher mohair-like fabric. Art printed on acrylic harkens to the lakeside setting. This beautiful blend
of textures, greenery, neutrals, and accessories create a dramatic warmth, making it feel like a space that has been beloved forever. This room was honored with the top
National Award Design by IDS.
