RIGHT AND BELOW: Nearly every aspect of this elegant, transitional gathering
space is customized. The large window, which sits across f rom a Brazilian-blue
stone fireplace, features push-button Roman shades that allow for sunlight control.
Custom bookshelves, outfitted with hand-made iron grills f rom my shop, show off
the client's personal mementos. You'll also find sconces that I made to complement
the design of the room.
FACING PAGE: The formal dining room is the center of the home, and in this case,
I made it work as both a formal gathering space and a comfortable spot for the
family. I incorporated a set of Neoclassical chairs that belonged to the homeowner's
mother, which beautifully blended with the Hollywood Regency interior.
