LEFT: We wanted the homeowners to be able to enjoy the scope of their large living
room without sacrificing intimacy. This was achieved through careful attention to
scale—the tall lamps and chairs help offset a soaring ceiling—and the use of layered
lighting. Wall sconces and crystal lamps illuminate the space in the evening.

BELOW: Navy, bright blue, and grey give this sitting area its charm. We made a
conversation spot that is ideal for relaxing with a glass of wine.

the homeowner's love of antiquities. The wall sculpture and art pieces stand out
against the soothing verdigreen.

FACING PAGE BOTTOM: Our departure point for a contemporary living room was
Jason Craighead's work of art above the sofa. We incorporated natural materials
and gold pieces to complement the painting. You'll also notice beautiful art pieces
encased on either side of the sitting area. We chose an antique rug with subtle
shades of gold and grey-blue so as to not detract f rom the art.
