46 INSPIRED INTERIORS ABOVE: A large stone art piece adds natural beauty to the living and dining spaces. Hand-chiseled to give the work a refined finish, the stone is as beautiful as it is interesting. Customized elements include the sofa and drapes, which were color matched to the deep indigo walls. Photograph by Matti Gresham FACING PAGE TOP: Mixed elements and styles create interest, both with interiors and art. The painting is by David Crismon, an artist who reconstructs Dutch Renaissance portraits into modern interpretations. Light fixtures f rom Arteriors and a custom sofa and chairs blend beautifully for an eclectic look. Photograph by Miriam Hill FACING PAGE BOTTOM: For a collaborative design, we pulled in unexpected pieces that layer beautifully. An Af rican sculpture alongside striking Ted Kinkaid photography, Donghia-covered chairs placed with a custom sofa, and a built-in bookcase with a range of items help create a multi-dimensional space.
