66 INSPIRED INTERIORS ABOVE: With the restoration of a 1920s Tudor-style McBirney mansion in Tulsa, the goal was that the rooms could be timeless enough to exist in their original time period, or today. I chose a neutral color palette so that the far left glass sculpture f rom Kreg Kallenberger, with whom the homeowners are f riends, could stand out. Views of the river are unobstructed by draperies, though light-filtering shades are ready to tame the late-afternoon sun when necessary. All the light fixtures in the home are original, having been restored and rewired, and it's very special to have these original pieces still in service. FACING PAGE: The fabrics and color choices of this room were guided by the warmth we wanted it to project. There's a lot of seating for family and f riends around the games tables, while magiscope side tables by Feliciano Bejar spark conversation—as does the custom hair-on-hide coffee table, the hide of which came f rom the owners' cattle ranch.
