ABOVE TOP: This foyer of a Frank Lloyd Wright home in St. Louis needed to do more than just sit pretty. The family operates vineyards in California and they often host
wine tastings for professional and personal events. We wanted this larger-scale foyer to provide additional space for guests to sample wine flights and, should a guest want
to linger and sample more, feel more than comfy in the dramatic wing chairs flanking the table.
ABOVE BOTTOM LEFT: Clients will no doubt hear my mantra "start with art" f rom the outset of a project, as I love using something f rom their own collection to ground the
design. In this home, we ran the rule writ large and used their collection as a whole as our grounding point for the entire interior. We created a gallery-like feel with well-lit,
wider, and longer hallways providing due space for each piece in the formidable collection. We also used custom bronze-f ramed glass walls so the pieces are visible f rom
multiple sightlines, such as the bronze sculpture Flowers by Donald Baechler, seen beyond the glass.

Endangered Species series.
