ABOVE: For a glamorous bedroom suite, I chose the finest linens and coverings without sacrificing practicality. I maximized bedside space by creating custom 26-inch
nightstands. Oversized sconces add European elegance and romance to the room, while the 18th-century antique chair serves as the ideal accent.
FACING PAGE: The room's lift-top mirrored vanity has custom compartments that allow it to serve as a personal and communal space. Cosmetics, a curling iron, and other
toiletries tuck away easily for a tidy, elegant look. Two 19th-century marble lamps boast hand-painted shades that I designed. A glimmering gold thread runs through the
grass-cloth wallcovering, adding a touch of glamour.
