ABOVE: A classic grey and white palette comes alive in this Capitol Hill row home's master bedroom. The Wood-Mode colony recessed door-style cabinetry in platinum
opaque finish with Calacatta gold-honed marble countertops creates a balanced space—not too warm, not too cold. Sourced f rom Dassoulas Custom Woodworks, the
reclaimed wood-f ramed mirror serves as a focal point and adds depth to the room. The café milk gloss ceramic tile and Calacatta gold-honed herringbone mosaic tile let
the polished nickel details shine, including the Top Knobs Ascendra pulls, Circa Lighting's Aspect sconces, and Kohler Margaux plumbing fixtures. We maximized shower
space and used an oversized sink with double faucets to make the bathroom as functional as possible.
FACING PAGE: Warm and cool elements come together for a highly personalized bathroom with maple cabinets in charcoal and vanity wall tiles in powder blue clear
glass. This homeowner had skin sensitivities that we took into account while designing, including incorporating aromatherapy features in the tub. We also borrowed space
f rom a neighboring room to give her a functional shower, maximized storage with cut-out drawers, and minimized the tub deck, giving the room an overall clean, bright
aesthetic. Wood elements, such as asymmetric floating shelves in walnut with matte shale stain and the teak bench inside the shower, offer a natural feel.
