ABOVE: Lush clinging ivy is one of the few original elements that remain of this seaside home after our complete remodel. An extensive loggia runs the length of the house
and forces you to experience the indoor-outdoor effect of its design, with corridors that provide access to nearly every room of the house. I sourced hand-carved Af rican
wood panels and used one of the homeowners' masks as outdoor decor to extend the modern tribal vibe of the interior. Large stellate Moroccan-style light fixtures also
further the overall aesthetic.
FACING PAGE TOP: Outdoor areas of this Alys Beach home include intimate courtyard spaces that surround the main house. Open to the elements, this al f resco dining
spot flows into the kitchen and dining room, making outdoor entertaining a breeze. The water feature adds a calming touch to the overall ambience of the space.
FACING PAGE BOTTOM: European in style, the courtyards serve as cozy respites as the homeowners and their guests go to and f rom the beach, with this one providing
coverage in case of inclement weather. With stunning beaches nearby, the niches are meant as spots to rest, reflect, and not detract f rom the surrounding natural beauty.
