ABOVE & LEFT: Located on Bedford Street in the West Village, this renovation transformed a previously multi-
family four-story brownstone into a generous single-family residence. A play of light and shadow begins at
the entrance vestibule, emanating f rom backlit glass staircase walls, and is visible as the stairs ascend to
each floor. Complete with two symmetrical fireplaces, the garden level's open kitchen features all the culinary
accoutrements set to prepare a feast. A 16-foot cantilevered island allows for seated dining and conversation
while maintaining the flow of circulation through the room. The residence implements a spirited materials
palette that upholds a distinctive aesthetic while providing a serene backdrop for contemporary art, life, and
entertaining.
