ABOVE & FACING PAGE: Natural light was a critical part of this project. We utilized a very large passive skylight
to provide much-needed daylight over the stair space, in addition to providing solar energy in the winter. Other
features, such as the raised entry and upper hallway repetitive-window design, required our team to come up with
creative details to meet certification. In the end, the owner was thrilled with both the design and performance of
the home.
