ABOVE: My designs prioritize open, uncluttered spaces filled with
natural light, panoramic views, natural materials, great flow, and
accessibility to the outdoors. In this modern residence, the family
gathering space serving as the core of the home. Private rooms
branch out f rom the center point, and the outdoor living area
is easy to see and easy to reach, with large custom sliding glass
doors.
RIGHT AND FACING PAGE: Working with a site to capitalize on the
best view is important with any home, and in this case we had only
one option. Designed around the idea of borrowed landscape, this
house had only one scenic view thanks to neighboring land. The
north-facing meadow is a butterfly field in the summer and is
likely to never be developed.
