LEFT & BELOW: Our client desired an open floorplan, yet with each room being
distinct. The spacious eat-in breakfast nook needed to feel warm, so we went with
a lower ceiling to add some coziness but used ceiling arch top windows to add
dramatic f raming of the room. The functional kitchen is where the open plan is
best viewed, with each of the entertaining areas within sight lines. The slab marble
backsplash and oversized range take center stage. The living room expands to the
outdoor living area and creates an inviting, entertaining flow to the home
.
