ABOVE & RIGHT: The design elements of the f ront façade were inspired by the distinctive components of English Cotswold cottages, which the homeowners desired.
The picturesque façade features projecting gables that act as bookends, a steep pitched wood shingle roof, casement windows, and textured limewashed bricks.
FACING PAGE: Dark stained floors in the kitchen anchor the light, airy feeling induced by the all-white marble countertops, white subway tile backsplash, and flat-
paneled cabinetry. The custom fireplace is the focal point of this stained walnut study; it features hand-carved scroll brackets that support a projecting mantel shelf.
French doors at the rear of the main hallway lead to a terrace overlooking a lake. The wrought-iron balustrades reinforce the simple interplay of the hallway's black-and-
white flooring.
