ABOVE & FACING PAGE: Views — that is what drew our clients to purchase this spectacular property in the Covina Hills. Surrounded by a forest of trees, the dream
house they envisioned would open up as much as possible to the surrounding landscape. To achieve this, the house underwent a major remodel in conjunction with
contractor Steve Knight, rebuilding the upper/main floor completely. The kitchen and dining room were flipped to let the dining room spill to the outside, seamlessly
connecting the interior to the exterior. A variation of tall ceiling heights allowed for large window openings throughout, making the space feel like a modern-day tree
house. The lower level—due to the topography, both floors open to grade—was converted into a luxurious guest suite and media room. A new pool and spa complete
the transformation. Although this was an extensive renovation, the footprint of the house stayed relatively the same.
